Front cover with the sun
and the (imagined) night sky on five pages in between so you can discover constellations.
I left the constellation pages as-is, with no specific constellation marked out, so that whoever has the book can have the fun of figuring out whatever constellations they want to (and even better if you are looking at the book together and everyone has their own interpretations of these night skies.)

The stars on the constellation pages were made by hammering silver nails into black velvet (maybe velour?) over heavy pressboard, but then I realized the nails stuck out pretty far on the back of the board, so I cut off the long end of the nails that were sticking out (I saved those leftover pieces, out of long-standing habit … ). I covered a second board and glued that on the back of each page, so there’s no risk of getting pricked by the end of a nail sticking out.

Fast forward to all those little leftover pieces, those were used to make the sun on the front cover and the other celestial phenomenon on the last page.
last page with some sort of exploding nova (maybe?) ….

The pages are held together with sparkly silver cord that looks more fun and appropriate in person than it does in the picture.
