Earth/sun/rain/seeds … this powerful combination is the origin of so much in the world. The pages are index-card sized heavy cardstock, with the first few pages introducing the main characters/theme.

And from the basics, the mysteries unfold, one seedling at a time. Most of the pages are torn paper collages of various examples of seedlings … they could be anything …. tomatoes, radishes, an oak tree, flowers, who knows!?

A few are more specific …. carrots with some happy rain

…. or plants in the desert …..

And my personal favorite, even in the most concreted city, with only a tiny bit of dirt in a crack in the sidewalk, plus a little sun and rain, a seedling will spring up.

This was my first time to try the stab binding. I have been wanting to do a small project for a first time to practice it and this was perfect.
