This is an altered/upcycled cardboard cigar box, transformed into a mirror, bordered with pearls, with musical staff paper as the all-over background.

Inside the box are ten special “Open When” envelopes, a few shown here, to be opened by the recipient now and then over the next few weeks or months, whenever they are ready.

Finally, when all the envelopes have been opened, the box can stand up on a shelf or mantel and serve its ongoing purpose as a mirror.
