This was my entry for the 12×12 fundraiser hosted by the SFA Friends of the Visual Arts (2024).
“Tiny Treasure” – it’s a tiny puzzle room …. solve the clues, find the treasure!
This is what you could see hanging on the wall during the exhibit …. it seems to be the entrance to a cemetery, but the gate/door is locked up tight.
(interactive mixed media)
Release the lock so you can open the door and enter the cemetery.
(Hint – the numbers in the address are the combination to the lock)
When you get the doors open, here’s the scene you will find.
Exploring the cemetery (touching items gently), you realize that the coffin can be moved!
(other primary/large items are glued in place)
Carefully removing the coffin, you discover it is locked, too.
Release this lock so you can open the coffin.
(Hint – it’s a letter combination lock and the letters are in the graveyard)
When you open the coffin, you find another lock!
This is a traditional padlock that needs a key … .but where is it?!
Is it one of these keys on the wall?
(Hint – no, it’s not, because those hanging hooks are closed tight and you can’t remove the keys.)
Hmmmmm … where could it be?
At last you find the key and can open the final lock!
You did it!
The “tiny treasure” was a $10 bill, with a note that said …
“Enjoy a tiny party on me!”
