See the beautiful “naked ladies” of the south!

 

Lycoris radiata (also called red spider lily and many other names) is a beloved and beautiful flower that blooms in the fall, especially after it rains.

They earned the name “naked ladies” because they send up a tall bare stem first – no leaves – and produce a showy red flower……the leaves come along later.

What a great plant!
